June 21st is the start of summer as well as the Fête de la Musique, a traditional musical event held in 110 countries with thousands of free concerts on offer by professional and amateur musicians.
In the spirit of the Fête de la Musique, on June 21st Romania will be livened up by concerts taking place in 9 towns: Arad. Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, lasi, Pitesti, Ploiesti, Slbiu and Timisoara. Organising the Fête de la Musique will help in Romania's cultural integration into the rest of Europe joining in artistic exchanges and promoting Romanian musicians both at home and abroad.
For the fifth year Orange and the French Embassy invite you to the Fête de la Musique, to start off the summer in the company of Proconsul, Voltaj, Vama Veche, Loredana, Holograf, 3 Sud Est, Directia 5, Iris and the Bucharest Symphonic Pops.
