As promised, Orange continues to support and promote talented young musicians in the second edition of the “Looking for Enescu” competition.
This year, high school students have a chance to prove their virtuoso abilities in three instrument categories:
- wind instruments (flute, oboe, clarinet and bassoon)
- string instruments (violin, viola, cello and double bass)
- piano
The application and preselection period is between 30 March and 30 April and takes place in front of a jury made up of classical music professors and soloists. The 20 participants selected for each instrument category will be announced on 5 May.
Auditions will take place on 18 and 19 May in Bucharest, where 3 finalists will be selected for each instrument.
The competition’s final stage will take place on 20 October in Sibiu, where the jury will name 3 winners of the Orange prizes which amount to 5000 euros each. According to tradition, the concert will close with a Gala Concert featuring the 3 winners together with the Sibiu Philharmonic Orchestra.
