Orange Romania

fraud prevention

It has been brought to our knowledge that attempts have been made to defraud Orange customers via email, text messages, letters, calls or other means of communication. Such communication appears to come from Orange, when it is in fact the action of individuals who have nothing to do with Orange and whose purpose is illegal gain.

Fraudulent communication attempts can be identified by the following clues:

  • they demand confidential information
  • they demand an urgent reply
  • email messages include web addresses similar to addresses of various legitimate organisations, but names are slightly modified
  • you will be asked to key in various codes on your mobile to confirm that you agree to receive a prize

Orange never requests information about bank accounts, personal passwords or recharge codes via email, text messages, letters, phone calls or any other means. Such information is strictly confidential and you must never communicate it to anyone. If you do, you assume full responsibility for the consequences.

If you notice a fraudulent attempt to gain information, please contact us as soon as possible at the email address abuse@orange.ro or by calling 411, Orange Customer Service (free from your Orange pay-monthly number) /444 (free from your Orange PrePay phone).
