Voice VPN

Starting August, Orange offers you a new service: Voice VPN.

The Voice VPN service allows you to make voice calls between fixed locations of your company by using the Orange data communication network as transport infrastructure. The fixed telephone sets are connected to a VPN solution through network and access equipment, so that the calls are made within the company, irrespective of the offices location.

By implementing the Voice VPN solution from Orange you have control over the costs of the phone calls inside the company; for a monthly subscription fee you can make unlimited calls within the company.

This solution represents an alternative to local and long distance telephone calls between the offices of the same company.

The flexibility of the Voice VPN solution from Orange allows you to choose a number of simultaneous voice channels for each office and to define extensions for as many fixed telephone sets as you want, by using your own numbering plan. Subsequently, you can add as many locations or extensions as you want to the existing ones.

By using the same network infrastructure as for the VPN services, Orange guarantees the technical and security parameters of the Voice VPN service. The quality of the telephone calls using Voice VPN service is the same as for mobile voice communication.

Depending on the specifics of your activity, the Corporate Department from Orange will offer you a customized solution, with a wide range of network equipment and access solutions.

What is GPRS Roaming and what are the advantages of using this service?

GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) is one of the most advanced data transmission technologies using IP (Internet Protocol). GPRS represents the fastest mobile data transmission system available from Orange Romania.

With Orange, you have the possibility to use this service both in Romania and in countries where GPRS Roaming agreements have been concluded.

With GPRS Roaming you have access to a range of services that will help you stay informed and communicate while travelling:
Internet Access
WAP Access
Mobile E-mail
MMS
Internet Access Service from Orange offers you the possibility to connect to the Internet only by using a mobile phone and a personal computer or a phone with integrated HTML browser. This service does not involve contracts with other Internet service providers. Besides, you do not depend on the fixed telephone network.

With WAP service, you may access a wide range of useful information directly on your mobile phone, either through the Orange Portal, or any WAP portal on the Internet. Using this service does not require connecting your phone to any other additional equipment.

Mobile E-mail Service allows you to have a mobile e-mail account within Orange network. You may also be notified when receiving a new message or receive e-mail messages directly on your mobile phone as text messages.

If you already use GPRS service, you do not have to make additional settings when leaving the country; its functions in Roaming are identical to the ones in Romania.
Presently, the countries where you can use the GPRS Roaming service are: Austria, Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Switzerland, Turkey and UK.

Along with the high-speed connection, another major benefit of GPRS is the billing based on the volume of transferred data, independent of the connection time. In Roaming, the same as for the voice calls, the GPRS tariffs are based on those of the local operator you register with. You can check the tariffs on www.orange.ro before leaving the country.
