Mobile Office Card
Freedom of movement for smart moves

In July, Orange launched Mobile Office Card, an offer targeted to companies that want to give their staff the freedom to use their laptops away from the office, without needing specialized IT knowledge.
With a Mobile Office Card and a laptop, you have freedom of movement and, at the same time, access to the resources you need, as if you were in your office. The laptop becomes a mobile work tool indeed, since you easily connect from a distance to the company’s Intranet or to the Internet. Thus, you can communicate by e-mail or send text messages, without being tied down by the length of a network connection cable or by fixed phone lines. When roaming in countries which Orange Romania has GPRS roaming agreements with, you can also use the Mobile Office card to access the Internet services through GPRS.
The Mobile Office Card package includes a software application developed by Orange, and a PCMCIA SonyEricsson card. All you have to do is to install the Mobile Office Card application (it takes a few minutes), to insert the PCMCIA card inside the laptop and you will have mobile access to Internet, e-mail account and text messaging through a friendly user interface displayed on your laptop screen. Also, if you already have a VPN client installed, you can configure mobile access to the company’s Intranet. You can connect with Mobile Office Card using Data GSM (9.6 Kbps), GPRS (53.5 Kbps) and WLAN
(2 Mbps).
The offer is already available in Romania, France, Great Britain and Belgium and, by the end of the year, it will also be available in Poland, Switzerland, Holland and Slovakia.
