Orange Romania is the leader of the Romanian telecommunications market both in number of clients and in profit, reinforcing its position based on a customer centric approach and through innovation and its ability to anticipate.

In 2004, Orange Romania registered important growth of its financial performances compared with the year before. Orange Romania registered 4,938,171 customers at the end of 2004, showing a 48.9% increase compared to 2003. This significant customer growth was achieved by offering flexible, simple and targeted offers to customers, which also led to a 47% increase in revenues, to 624 million euros in 2004. Thus, at the Group level, Orange Romania ranks the third in number of clients and the fifth in revenues.

Similar growth trend was registered in 2004 for Orange Group, reaching 54 million clients all over the world, representing an increase with 11.1% in 2004 versus 2003. At the same time, Group revenues raised in 2004 to 19,7 billion euros, up with 10.4% compared to 2003.

Living up to its values and delivering them in the products and services offered to clients, Orange Romania gained the trust of its clients, thus succeeding in meeting their communication needs.

In 2005, the same performance standards will be maintained, as well as keeping the first place in peoples' choice for using mobile communication services.

From the establishment in the Romanian market until now, Orange Romania invested 890 million USD, and another 220 million USD will be invested this year, continuing to capitalize the advantages of being part of an international group – Orange – and of the worldwide biggest alliance of GSM operators – Freemove.

With the new Group Text Messages service offered by Orange, you can send simultaneously important text messages to your business partners, either from your mobile phone or from web. You have now the tool to create or change efficiently up to 10 distribution list on your mobile. On web you can build as many lists as you need, with a total of up to 2000 contacts and you can send a text message to them all.
This service does not incur any additional costs, except for the text message tariff for each recipient.

how to use the service on your mobile

To benefit from this service on your Orange mobile, you have to request the change of the SIM card to your Orange sales representative.
With the new Smart SIM card, the service is available directly on your mobile accessing the Orange/Liste Distrib menu. Without changing the SIM card, the service may be used on web only.

You can build and edit distribution lists for your text messages and you can change or remove them anytime.

To send a text message to several recipients simultaneously, select Send option, edit the text of the message and choose the recipients desired group from the distribution lists.

how to use the service on web

Group Text Messages service can be accessed on web at www.orange.ro/corporate on-line services section, based on a single use password. At each access to the service, a new password will be sent via text message to your Orange phone. If you have the Smart SIM card, you can also see and update, in the web application, the distribution lists built on your mobile phone.

In the web application you have an Agenda where you can save all your contacts under utmost security and confidentiality conditions; you can add and delete contacts or copy them in the distribution lists on web.

To send a text message to several recipients simultaneously, select Send text message, edit the text of the message, choose the recipients desired group from the distribution lists and press the Send text message button.

The service can be used in roaming. In this case, the tariff for the text messages sent to a distribution list with the Group Text Messages will be the national text messages tariff, to which will be added the roaming tariff for a text message sent to Romania, corresponding to the foreign network where the user is registered.
