Group Text Messages

Even when you are on holiday or on a business trip, important messages should arrive on time to their recipients. With Group Text Messaging you can send rapidly and efficiently a message to a group of colleagues or business partners, even when you are in roaming.

With the contacts of your SIM card agenda, you can build distribution lists for your text messages, that you can save, edit or change either on your mobile, or on the web. You can transfer at any time on your SIM card the distribution lists created on web. If you have the Smart SIM card, you can also see and update on web the distribution lists from your mobile.

You can ask anytime your Orange representative to change your SIM card with the Smart SIM card, in case you don't have it already. With the Smart SIM card the service is accessible directly on your mobile in the Orange/Liste Distrib menu.

Using this menu, you can use your SIM card agenda to create distribution lists, edit, change, and remove them whenever it's necessary. To send a text message, select Send option, edit the text of your message and choose one of the distribution lists as recipient of your message.

To use the service on web, access online services, send text messages section, based on a one time password. Each time you access the service on web, a new password will be sent in text message to your Orange mobile.

On the web, the service provides you with an Agenda where you can store all your SIM card contacts under secure and confidentiality conditions. Here you can remove contacts or add new ones or you can copy them to the distribution lists created on web. Adding a contact to a distribution list will automatically store it to your web Agenda. Even if you remove a contact from a distribution list, it will remain in your Agenda.

To send a message to a distribution list, go to Send text messages menu, edit the message text, choose the recipients from the distribution lists and press the send text message button.

You can activate this service at any time, without activation fees, and its use does not involve additional costs. The messages you send are charged with the regular text message tariff for each of the recipients, as in your Orange offer. In roaming, the tariff for a text message sent to a distribution list is the national tariff for each contact, to which the roaming tariff of the host network for a single text message to Romania is added. The roaming tariff for a text message is applied for each operation made with the distribution lists, corresponding to that foreign operator.
