We are starting a new year together, a year during which we want to offer you new mobile communications solutions using the latest technologies.

We closed the last year with remarkable results, but to us the most important thing was offering our clients the products, services and technologies they need to develop their business, while providing at the same time the mobility and the solutions required for greater efficiency and profitability. We launched the BlackBerry® Enterprise Solution™ - we extended EDGE coverage to 33 cities for the 60,000 customers who use these services. At the beginning of this year, Orange has over 7 million customers in Romania, having thus become the largest mobile telephony operator on the market.

To thank you for the trust you have put in our quality services, this year we will invest 206 million USD in network development and in launching new service and technology platforms. We will continue to develop our voice and data services, our integrated communications solutions. We want to extend EDGE coverage nationally and during the first half of this year we will launch 3G services in the largest cities, reaching an estimated 200,000 new customers before the end of the year. In doing this, we will become the largest broadband operator. We are also planning to introduce the HSDPA standard (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) as part of our 3G network, which will allow for data transmissions of up to 800 kbps. We regard the diversification of VPN (Virtual Private Network) services as a priority, aiming to integrate landline and mobile voice services with data services. We can thus offer large customers new service platforms and dedicated solutions that can better respond to their communication needs.

Our offer of mobile phones and terminals will include new signature phones, 3G phones and data cards, helping you to communicate efficiently wherever you are.

In order to be closer to you and to provide all the support and services you need for the successful development of your business, we have now more sales representatives dedicated to our customers and we have developed our Corporate Customer Service.

With the EDGE USB modem from Orange, you can access the Internet anytime, from any desktop computer or laptop, anywhere in the Orange coverage area and from abroad.

All you have to do is to insert the Orange SIM card into your modem, be subscribed to a data package or option, and then connect the modem to the computerís USB port while you are in Orangeís coverage area.

Modem installation is quick and easy. Using EDGE, you can connect to the internet at speeds of up to 177.4 Kbit/sec.

The SIM card can be activated by subscribing to an Internet Always-on data package with unlimited traffic options. You will therefore be able to surf the internet and your corporate intranet or read your e-mail from any computer, anywhere, even abroad.  

You can easily move the EDGE USB modem from one computer to another, regardless of location, thus ensuring direct internet access without cables or additional configuration steps.
