Beginning 6 June, Orange Romania is offering third generation services to its pay-monthly and PrePay customers in Bucharest and Timisoara and soon in Cluj-Napoca and Brasov. When customers travel outside of 3G coverage, they will be able to use Orange services without interruption by automatically switching over to EDGE or GPRS. 3G gives a new dimension to communication and mobile services. Sounds and images in real time, live television, music, multimedia messages, mobile email and the internet are all available on the mobile phone at higher quality than ever before, because 3G takes data transmission rates up to 384 kbps. Orange is also offering the most captivating service currently available via 3G - Video Calling.

Access to 3G services is free for all Orange customers who are in the 3G coverage area and who are using a 3G-compatible mobile phone.

The 3G service plan offers customers, for a monthly fee of 28 USD, 180 national voice calling minutes, 18 national video calling minutes, 18 MB of data transfer, a 10 MB mobile email account and access to the Organiser and Mail Manager services including 50 MB of storage.

Additional usage will be charged as follows:

Customers who sign up before 31 December receive 100 additional national voice calling minutes, 100 additional national video calling minutes and 10 MB of national data transfer (internet and wap) for the first 8 months if they sign up for 2 years or for the first 4 months if they sign up for 1 year.

Orange customers can activate the Video Calling option which, for a monthly fee of 8 USD, offers 30 minutes of video calling, 30 multimedia messages and mobile access to live TV programmes and news, sports and movie video clips.

Customers who set up the Video Calling option before 31 December receive 10 additional national voice calling minutes and 10 additional national video calling minutes for the first 8 months if they sign up for 2 years or for the first 4 months if they sign up for 1 year.

Services offering mobile internet access via 3G will also work at higher speed and will be charged the same as those using EDGE or GPRS technologies.

Business Everywhere turns your laptop into a genuine mobile workplace enabling you to do your work anywhere as if you were in your own office.

The Business Everywhere package from Orange includes all the elements you will require to connect your laptop to mobile data services:

• the Business Everywhere application - you have access to services through a simple click.
• 3G/EDGE data card - will be inserted into your laptop's PCMCIA slot without any other connection cable or other accessories.
• SIM card - dedicated to mobile data services.

The 3G card enables connection speeds of up to 384 kbps via 3G and even when you are outside 3G coverage, you connect automatically via the EDGE network, which enables connection speeds of up to 220 kbps.

Until 31 December, you can take advantage of a special offer from Orange, to set up Business Everywhere 3G with a data package or option:

• up to 75% off for the Business Everywhere card
• 10% discount for the service plan with included traffic for the life of the service agreement
• double the included traffic for the first 6 months
• 50% off service plan charges for unlimited internet access options over the first 6 months
