in 79 towns and cities

This autumn, Orange has extended 3G+ coverage to all 41 county seat cities and in certain areas of Bucharest transfer speed has increased to 7.2 Mbps.

Currently, mobile data services are operating at 3G+ speed in 79 localities, of which 44 are municipalities and 10 are towns, with several city residential areas included.  

If you’re spending your holiday in the mountains, in Poiana Brasov, Bran, Moeciu, Rasnov, Sinaia, Busteni, Predeal and Timisu de Jos you’ll have access to mobile data services at up to 3.6 Mbps. If you live in residential areas around Bucharest, Brasov, Craiova, Iasi and Timisoara you can surf the Internet at 3G+ speed, you can connect to your company’s intranet and you can download large files to your laptop or PC.

By the end of the year, 3G+ coverage will be extended to 10 additional holiday locations and to numerous municipalities and surrounding residential areas.

For the first time in Romania, Orange is launching mobile data services at up to 7.2 Mbps, currently the fastest mobile Internet connection available on the local market.

3G+ services at up to 7.2 Mbps are available in several areas in the capital, such as Piata Unirii, Bd. Magheru-University, Piata Victoriei, Pipera-Iride, Pipera-Erou Iancu Nicolae and Baneasa-Airport.

1.46 Mbps for file uploads

From now on, sending email attachments or uploading files to various applications or sites will take a lot less time.

Orange has launched the technology known as HSUPA (High Speed Uplink Packet Access) in Romania, offering customers high uplink data rates of up to 1.46 Mbps in cities with 3G+ coverage.

The faster uplink enables you to send large email attachments, to upload files and content faster and to hold videoconferences.
