A company using a fleet of about 50 mobile phones and benefiting from the MVPN (Mobile Virtual Private Network) offer wants to make the communication costs more efficient by introducing control and traffic management measures corresponding both to the real needs and according to each employee’s position in the company.

In situations like this, Orange developed the Manager Control application, a friendly web interface, which allows the manager to control and modify, on-line, each user’s rights and traffic resources.

The premise is the following: the regular users will be allowed to call only inside the fleet, Mondays to Fridays between 8.00 and 18.00, during weekends being allowed only to receive phone calls. It is also possible to call a certain supplier while being charged as if you called inside the company’s fleet.

First, a calendar which allows the calls tracking is established. Different call plans can be defined, depending on the user categories of the fleet. For example, there can be defined a call plan for couriers and a totally different one for managers.
The traffic allowed for each call direction is allocated when the call plan has been established. In our case, the users can call only inside MVPN fleet. Phone calls to different directions (Orange, other national networks, international) are not allowed by the application.

What is Mobilis? How can this service be used?

Mobilis is a Mobile Banking type service offering Orange subscribers access to card accounts opened with BRD - Groupe Société Générale, directly from their Orange phone.
The special Orange SIM Card displays an easy to follow menu on the mobile phone screen that guides you whenever you have to make a transaction and ensures a secure communication between bank and user.
The service operates within the Orange coverage area in Romania and abroad, in networks with which Orange has concluded roaming agreements.

Mobilis allows you to perform the following operations:
to receive information regarding the balance of the card accounts declared in the contract signed with the bank: available balance and credit limit
to make transfers between card accounts
to make invoice payments to accounts agreed with BRD, Orange invoice payment, PrePay accounts recharging
to receive alarms regarding any modifications of your card accounts; in addition, the bank provides you with useful information on its products and services and on the currency rates of exchange

For each request, the user receives a text message charged with 0,16 USD. The programmed messages or the alarm messages are charged with 0,14 USD per message.

The Orange subscribers can request a free of charge special SIM card at any Orange shop. Then, you have to contact the nearest BRD branch to sign the Mobilis contract, to customize your service profile and to receive the envelope with the Bank-PIN.
