Dedicated Internet Access

This service gives permanent access to Internet, using a dedicated data line to connect the client to the Orange network. Dedicated access does not imply dial-up, does not charge the telephone bill and does not block a phone line while connected to Internet. The data transfer speed (guaranteed bandwidth) is chosen by client according to its needs and budget. The Internet access is carried out through radio or optical fiber connection of the client to the closest access point in Orange network.

services included

Besides permanent Internet access, Orange offers services, such as:

Domain Name Service (DNS): your company identifies itself on the Internet by using a name, such as company.ornet.ro.
This is used for the employees' E-mail addresses (name@company.ornet.ro) and for the name of the official web site

IP addresses: each Orange customer will receive (free of charge) an IP address and a yearly fee will be paid for each additional IP address

domain hosting service: one domain name of the client is hosted free of charge on Orange servers.
An annual fee will be paid for each additional domain.

technical description

The Internet Dedicated Access Service is available all over the country. Access to this service is based on various radio, wireless communication technologies (for the "local loop" segment).

The access solutions ("local loop") offered by Orange are:

  • wireless, using licensed frequencies 3.5 GHz, 13 GHz, 15 GHz, 23 GHz, 26 GHz and 38 GHz

usage

The Dedicated Internet Access service allows specific applications implementation, which increases the company efficiency: e-mail, own web site, Intranet/extranet solutions implementation, e-commerce (application which enables a company to promote and sell directly to its clients the products and services using the Internet etc.).

charging principles

Depending on the technical solution chosen by the client, Orange will charge a monthly fee for the use of the service depending on the guaranteed bandwidth, an installation fee for local loop equipment and a monthly fee for using the local loop equipment.
Special works, determined by specific topology, can have as a result additional installation costs, to be detailed in a previous feasibility study.
