The solution is simple and fast to install, easily integrates with your existing network and requires no major network architecture changes.
The BlackBerry Enterprise Server software can be easily installed on a server in your company’s internal computer network, securely behind your firewall. The solution interoperates with the Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes or Novell GroupWise email servers.
The BlackBerry uses a highly advanced security solution based on the Triple Data Encryption and Advanced Encryption Standards (DES and AES) for data transmission between the BlackBerry Enterprise Server and the mobile BlackBerry handheld.

charging principles

The BlackBerry Enterprise solution will incur the following charges:

  • a monthly per-user charge which includes national traffic
  • the BlackBerry Enterprise Server software license – a one-time charge when your company signs up for the service, depending on the number of users activated initially
  • additional licenses for new users – charged once depending on the number of additional users
  • the BlackBerry 8800,  8100 Pearl, 8120 Pearl, 8700f, 7130g or 7290 handhelds
