Fleet Tracking
The Fleet Tracking service allows a company’s Orange mobile phones to be located on the map of Romania and allows the company’s authorised person to access personalised information about the position and route of a mobile phone or a group of mobile phones.
The Fleet Tracking service is aimed at company managers in various areas of expertise, such as transportation, sales, distribution, logistics, maintenance etc, who must permanently supervise the position of field staff.

service description
The localisation of mobile phones is carried out using information provided by the Orange network containing the name and location of the base station carrying the phone’s traffic at any given momet. This information is superimposed on an area map. The resulting image can be viewed by the authorised individual via a secure web or wap interface.
- by storing previous localisation information, the application can provide information on the route taken by a certain mobile phone, in a predefined time period
- one phone or a predefined group of corporate phones can be localised instantly
- daily and hourly monitoring intervals can be defined, along with the frequency of localisations
- when defining a daily and hourly range, the web application estimates the total number of localisation for the mobile or for the group of mobiles selected
- the application provides statistics regarding the authorised person’s web activity and of the number of localisations carried out for the mobile fleet
Usage
Using a secure Internet connection, the authorised person can access the service through a secured web interface at the web address https://monitorizareflota.orange.ro, using a username and a password. Using the web interface, he or she can instantly locate any mobile phone in the monitoring list, define groups of mobiles which will be automatically located at certain time intervals, within a predefined time range and can view web monitoring statistics
The Fleet Tracking service will be soon available to the authorized person via wap, in the Orange World portal, the Tools section.
No additional equipment or software is required to activate and use the service. Localisation requires only a mobile phone and an active mobile number. Orange provides the authorised person with free access to the secured web interface and to the list of mobile phone numbers that will be monitored.
charges
The monthly plan for this service includes a number of instances of localisation information provision for all Orange numbers included in the monitoring list. This number is decreased with each request for updated positioning information for a mobile phone and upon performing automated localisations in order to trace a phone’s route. Once the number of included localisations is used up, each additional request is charged additionally.

how to buy
You can sign up for the service via the Orange Corporate Department. For further information, please call 410, the Corporate Customer Service (free from your Orange phone), or 021 203 34 10.
The user, an employee of the Client who has purchased the Fleet Tracking Service, has the right to request the cessation of the localisation process for their SIM card at any moment. To this end, he must ask the Customer to provide the Appendix to the supplementary service agreement, that is, the table where they consented, under private signature, to having the SIM card in their use localised, and to fill in the fields "Date of cessation of the localisation process" and "I request that localisation services for my phone number be ceased (Signature)". The Appendix to the supplementary service agreement must he handed to the Customer, who must send it to Orange Romania’s Customer Service via fax, after signing and stamping the document. The Customre shall inform those employees who are users of the system that they must keep a copy of all appendix documents they sign.
Should users of the Fleet Tracking service suspects the Customer of abuse, they can request, in writing, the temporary or final cessation of the localisation process. The written request must be sent via fax to Orange Romania’s Customer Service. Orange Romania shall cease the localisation process for that SIM card no later than 6 pm on the next working day. If the request is sent to Customer Service on a Friday, Orange Romania shall cease the localisation process no later than Monday at 6 pm. If the request is sent to Customer Service during a legal holiday, Orange Romania shall cease the localisation process no later than the end of the first working day after the end of the legal holiday, at 6 pm. Upon completing the cessation of the localisation process Orange shall inform the Fleet Tracking Service user of this action by SMS or phone call, or in writing.
