SIM Agenda Back-up is a simple and secure way of saving the SIM card phone book on the Orange server, under security and confidentiality conditions.
usage
on mobile phone
In the Orange menu, the client chooses SIM Backup and then selects Activate.
The service can be used once the confirmation text message is received.
The clients can :
- save data from the SIM card agenda, in a certain moment or periodically, selecting Save option
- change the data from the SIM card agenda and update the data stored on server
- recuperate on the new SIM card the data stored on server, selecting Restore option
on web
The service is accessible
on web here, with a one time password. At every access, a new password
will be sent in a text message to the client’s Orange phone.
On web the client can edit, remove and recover on his SIM card agenda the data stored on the Orange server and he can also transfer it on the web list of contacts.
In Contacts on web the client can save more contacts than the SIM card memory allows and can select the ones he wishes to transfer on his SIM card agenda. Also, on this list the client can edit and save additional data fields (i.e.: birth date, address etc).
On web the client can see both his SIM card agenda, in Contacts on SIM Back-up, and the ones created on the web page, in Contacts on web.
The client can also:
- add new contacts, using the add button
- remove contacts, using the delete button
- see the updates made, using the update button
Moreover, the find option is available for the web agenda.
charging principles
The service can be activated anytime, without any fee.
Additional costs occur when the service is used in roaming. All text
messages related to this service will be charged with the roaming tariff
for text messages sent to Romania corresponding to that country network.
Therefore, it is recommended to change the automatic update periodicity
when leaving the country, thus: Orange menu>SIM Backup>Update>Periodic>Stop.
At return, the periodicity can be set up again at original settings.
how to get it
To benefit from this service on the Orange phone, the client has to
request the SIM card change to the Orange Sales Representative.
With the new SIM Smart card, the service is accessible directly on the
mobile phone in the Orange menu/SIMBackup.
