email fraud attempts prevention

A number of Orange Romania’s customers have been subjected to attempted fraud today, via email. They received messages from the email address prize@orange.ro letting them know that they’ve won a money prize. They were then asked to send valid PrePay recharge codes to several email addresses similar to orange.name@gmail.com. In addition, they were asked to provide their full name, city, post office and Orange phone number.

Orange Romania immediately blocked the email address prize@orange.ro.

Orange recommends its customers to always protect their confidential personal data.

Orange will never ask its customers to provide information about bank accounts, personal passwords or recharge codes.
