Fixed line and mobile phone Voicemail
a new service for you
With Orange you can avail of a complete Voicemail service, which you can use for both your Orange fixed line and mobile phone numbers. It's as if you had your own 'Personal Assistant'.
When you are not available to take calls, the service records your messages, and notifies you when you receive them. You can then listen to all your messages, received on both your Orange fixed line and mobile phone numbers.
This service offers you a set of complex advantages depending on your communication needs.
- If you cannot answer your Orange fixed line or mobile phone, either because it is turned off or you are outside the coverage area, you will no longer miss any of your calls. In these cases, as well as when you choose to redirect all your calls, or only the calls you are not able to answer because you are engaged in another call, your Voicemail will take and record messages (voice or fax messages) from all your callers. As soon as you become available, you will receive notification of your new Voicemail messages.
- With Voicemail, you can listen to your messages, you can save or delete them, you can dial the caller's number directly, or you can redirect the message to another mailbox.
- Your fax messages can be printed or transferred to your predefined number or other destinations.
- At the time of your first network call, you can define your settings, which you can later change to suit your needs.
- Your Voicemail password.
- Your Personal Greeting (Normal, Engaged, or Long Absence)
- Your notification preference (voice or text messages)
- Enable / Disable the NonStop service, and
- Language setting (Romanian or English).
- You can also set up your predefined number for the transfer of received fax messages, and create distribution lists for messages (voice or fax messages).
- You will receive a notification of your Orange fixed line and mobile phone messages on both your fixed line number, via voice message, and on your mobile phone number, via text message.
how does it work
Call 555 on your Orange fixed line or mobile phone, for direct access to your mailbox.
From any other fixed line or mobile phone, call 0744 94 5550 and choose Romanian and English. Or call directly by dialling:
- 0744 94 5551 for Romanian, and
- 0744 94 5552 for English.
If you call the long access numbers, you need to enter your mailbox number (i.e. your Orange phone number) and then, for identification purposes, your Voicemail password.
If you call 0744 94 5550 on an Orange mobile phone with an active Orange Voicemail service, you will not be requested to enter the phone number and password, but will be able to listen to your messages directly (same as by calling 555).
When you access your Voicemail service, you can:
- listen to your received messages (press 1 in the Main Menu),
- change your Voicemail settings (press 2 in the Main Menu),
- send a voice message (press 3 in the Main Menu), or
- print all new fax messages (press 4 in the Main Menu)
Your combined fixed line and mobile phone mailbox can store up to 90 voice messages (200 minutes), and 50 fax pages. You can keep any message in your mailbox for 7 days.
what you pay
Retrieving your messages by calling 555 and notifications are free of charge.
Retrieving your messages by calling 0744 94 5550, 0744 94 5551 or 0744 94 5552 is charged at network call prices.
Calling the sender of a voice message is charged as a regular outgoing call, depending on the number.
Redirecting a recorded voice message to another mailbox is charged E 0,0595 (incl VAT).
Transferring a voice or fax message to another mailbox is charged E 0,0595 (incl VAT).
Transferring a fax to another phone number (other than your Voicemail number) is charged as a fax call.
While roaming
Each call to your Voicemail will be charged as an international roaming call to Romania.
If you have activated the option to have some of your calls directed to your Voicemail, and your Orange phone is engaged, or you are not able to answer it, or you are outside the coverage area, your incoming calls will be received in the respective country, and then redirected to Romania.
In this case, you will pay the cost of two international calls as follows: an incoming international call received from Romania, and an outgoing international roaming call to Romania.
This also occurs when you disconnect your Orange phone in an area that has no coverage. We recommend that, prior to disconnecting your phone, to make sure that you are connected to a network.

service set-up
You can set up the service by calling Orange Customer Service free of charge on your Orange phone, and select the fixed line and mobile phone numbers you wish to use for this service.
