Mobilis

Mobilis is a Mobile Banking service which offers Orange subscribers permanent access to current accounts opened at BRD-Group Société Générale, directly from their Orange phone.

The Orange SIM card provides an easy to follow menu on your mobile phone screen, guiding you whenever you make a transaction and ensuring the security of your communication with the bank. The service operates anywhere in Orange Romania's network coverage area and abroad using the networks where Orange has set up roaming agreements.

To use the service, customers need to select options from a menu and key in information using the phone’s keyboard. The options requiring security are signed using the Bank-PIN code before they are sent to the bank. The user’s options are sent to the bank only after they are encrypted.

Once in the bank’s system, the information is decrypted, the bank performs the requested operation and replies with a message which will be decrypted by the SIM card.

The service is easy to use, featuring an intuitive menu and fast browsing by selecting from the options available in the mobile banking application’s menu, which is stored on the SIM card.

The service can be used anywhere in the Orange network and abroad in the countries where Orange Romania has set up roaming agreements.

charging principles

As a response to each request made, the user receives a text message which is charged 0.13 EUR. Scheduled and notification messages are charged 0.11 EUR per message.

While you’re roaming, the charge for scheduled and alert messages is the same, 0.11 EUR/ message. Other requests will be charged by adding the charge for a text message sent from the country you’re in to the standard Mobilis charge. how to sign up

Any Orange subscriber can ask for a free Mobilis-enabled SIM card at any Orange shop. You can then contact your nearest BRD branch to sign the Mobilis service contract, personalise your service profile and receive your Bank-PIN code.
