Mobile Office Card

Orange has launched the EDGE version of Mobile Office Card.

Mobile Office Card from Orange is the ideal way to help your employees have the freedom of movement they need and use their laptops like being in front of their desktops, whenever and wherever they may be.

The Mobile Office Card package consists of a Sony Ericsson data card and a Orange dashboard which enables easy access to mobile data services: mobile Internet browsing, e-mail account access, text messages and remote connection to Intranet.

Technical info

There are two types of data cards available:

The data cards are endowed with a SIM card slot. In order to use Mobile Office Card at its highest potential, you need to activate one EDGE / GPRS and one Data GSM offer on the SIM card to be used.

The Mobile Office Card dashboard is easy to install, use and configure and you can find it on a CD included in the data card box.

In order to use Mobile Office Card, all you have to do is install the dashboard (it takes a few minutes) by following the instructions in the Getting Started Guide, to insert the SIM card in the data card slot, to insert the data card in the PCMCIA port of your laptop and you have easy access to services.

Once the dashboard is installed you can select the bearer based on your specific needs:

  • EDGE / GPRS (maximum 220 kbps / 53,6 kbps)
  • CSD (9,6 kbps),
  • WLAN (10 mbps).

In order to configure the Intranet access it is recommended to require the assistance of your IT specialist.

The usage of services is charged according to the tariffs of the mobile data offers activated on the SIM card.

availability

Mobile Office Card is available for all mobile data offers.

While you are abroad, you can use Mobile Office Card in any of the networks where Orange Romania has concluded GPRS Roaming agreements.
