Mobile data accelerator

The mobile data accelerator service is designed to enable faster Internet surfing and swifter email communication via 3G / EDGE / GPRS and to provide higher transfer speeds by optimising traffic flow.

The service requires no special settings, traffic through the “internet” APN or via the direct access “LAN” APN being optimised automatically. The mobile data accelerator offers the following benefits:

  • faster surfing via 3G / EDGE / GPRS and steady connection by optimising Internet communication and transport protocols
  • easy surfing and even faster access by storing the most visited Internet pages on our server (in “cache memory”)
  • enhanced performance through data reduction using invisible filtering (which removes blank spaces, comments and other redundant information from Javascript objects)
  • accelerated web page access by prioritising the elements to be downloaded

Customers who use the Internet and email services on laptops or PCs frequently and whose connection requires optimisation can install an application on their computer which lets them take advantage of the following benefits (in addition to standard optimisation):

  • up to 4 times (on average 2 times) faster Internet surfing, FTP transfer and email transmission via 3G / EDGE / GPRS
  • significantly lower Internet surfing costs via 3G / EDGE / GPRS (up to 4 times lower – on average, costs are cut by about half) due to lower amounts of information being transferred as a result of text and image compression (Internet access via 3G / EDGE / GPRS is charged according to traffic volume only); click Shift + R on the images in order to reload them without compression or press Ctrl + F5 to reload the whole page without optimisation
  • acceleration settings can be changed without interrupting your surfing, and you’re always in control

technical information

There are no installation requirements for standard optimisation and no changes need to be made to Internet access settings. For full optimisation, the customer must install the optimisation application which is easy to use and requires no expert knowledge – for details, check the user manual.

charging principles

Traffic will be charged based on volume, according to your data service plans. There’s no monthly charge or license fee for the service and the application required for your computer is also free.
