Orange launches in November a new voice service designed for companies: OfficeTel.
OfficeTel service allows voice calls from and to your company’s fixed locations using Orange data communication network.
The PABX or the fixed phones are connected to the Orange MSC (Mobile Switch Center - the Orange mobile telephone exchange) through access equipments based on IP technology.
This service allows calls to and from any national or international destination.
Service configuration is determined by your company needs: you can choose the number of simultaneous calls from one location and you can define your own numbering plan for the telephone exchange extensions or the fixed stations.
You will then benefit from preferential tariffs for calls between the fixed phones and your company mobile users.
Orange guarantees quality technical parameters and service security, the calls performed having the same quality as mobile voice communication.
Using Orange IP network along with the VoiceVPN service, that offers you unlimited calls between your company headquarters, you can build a private fixed network with the best tariffs for calls between your employees, regardless their location - at the office or in the field.
Our Corporate department representatives can present you the network equipment and access facilities offers, as well as specialized advice on choosing the best solution for your company. In order to purchase the OfficeTel service, please contact our Corporate department at 410 (free of charge from your mobile phone) or at (021) 203 3410.
How to offer a field representative secured access to
the company Intranet?
Orange offers you the possibility to be remotely connected
to your company Intranet using GPRS/EDGE technology for data transmission.
The mobile access to a private computer network through GPRS/EDGE requires two essential elements: interconnection of the private network to Orange network (through a dedicated line or Internet) and a GPRS/EDGE service plan for each employee using this service.
For higher connection security, Orange recommends the use of a dedicated private APN (Access Point Name) that allows access to the respective private network only to users named by the client. Other users attempting to access the dedicated APN will not have access to it.
Complementary to the APN solution, the connection can be further secured by installing a VPN access solution.
Using a laptop connected to a mobile phone, or using a Mobile Office Card, you can access Intranet as if you were sitting in front of your desk computer.
This way, the field representatives can work efficiently no matter the location, without constraints of a network wire or Internet fixed connection lines
