functionality
- you are informed on your mobile by text message when you receive a new mail and you can read it as text message, on wap in Orange World or on web on www.orange.ro
- you have access to Mail Manager which alows you to see and answer from Orange World on wap to the e-mails received in up to other 5 accounts (POP3)
- you can choose to be notified with a summary text message on the activity of your account
- you can use Organizer, which offers you Agenda and Calendar with the help of which you can manage your contacts, you can create and manage events and tasks. Agenda allows you to choose the receivers of your e-mails from a predefined list, both on web and on wap. Also you can offer access to your contacts to other Mobile E-mail users. For events and tasks you can set text message or e-mail notifications. Additionally, all of this can be synchronized with the mobile phone, if it is SyncML compatible.
The following mobile phones Sync ML compatible can be used with the Organizer service and can be synchronized through GPRS or EDGE: using ‘wap’ APN - Sony Ericsson Z1010, Sony Ericsson K700i, Sony Ericsson K300i, Siemens CX65, Motorola v500, Nokia 6230i, Nokia 6630, Nokia 6680 ; or using ‘internet’ APN – Sony Ericsson P800, Sony Ericsson P900, Sony Ericsson Z1010, Sony Ericsson K700i, Sony Ericsson K300i, Motorola v500, Nokia 6630 and Nokia 6680.
- when you access your e-mail account from Orange World you can use predefined messages
- if you want that all the senders to receive by default a personalized e-mail response, you can simply use this feature
- you can create up to 5 signatures that can be used to personalize the e-mails sent from your account.
- rules for e-mail filtering are available in order to avoid spam messages.
- you can send text messages from your mobile to e-mail adresses
You can choose one out of three options which are in the service offer, according to your needs:
- Entry: storage space for the e-mails received on the Mobile E-mail account address:2 MB. Mail Manager and Organizer are offered as an option.
- Standard: storage space for the e-mails received on the Mobile E-mail account address: 10 MB. Also, you have access to Organizer and Mail Manager with 50 MB storage space. The package also contains 50 free sms notifications.
- Professional: if you need more storage space, this option offers you 50 MB of space on the disk for the e-mails received on the Mobile E-mail account address. You have access to Organizer and Mail Manager which has 100 MB storage space. The package also contains 50 free sms notifications.

All E-mail accounts of the Mobile E-mail service are identified by an address in the form of:
"Orange mobile phone number"@orange-gsm.com
The user authentication is made by a "user name" / "password" system where user name is the user phone number; password is the password chosen by the user upon the creation of the account.
The received notifications contain only the subject of the e-mail received.
charging principles
The charging system of the Mobile E-mail service varies according to the technology you choose for connecting (CSD/ SMS / EDGE / GPRS).
EDGE / GPRS connection
- the charging is made according to the traffic volume; for text messages (SMS) the charging is per received message
- (Tariff) Charging unit is Kilo Byte (KB): 1KB = 1024 Bytes, 1MB = 1024 KB, 1Byte = 8 bits
CSD connection
- for dial-up access to your e-mail account, the charging is made according on connection time; for received text messages the charging is per message
- the charging unit: the first minute is indivisible, while starting with the second minute the charge is per second
- dial-up access by using the short number 545 from an Orange phone: Internet Mobile Access Charges
- dial-up access by using the long number 0744 945 450 from an Orange phone: Internet Mobile Access Charges
- dial-up access by using the long number 0744 945 450 on a fixed phone or a mobile phone connected to another mobile telephony provider: the specific charges of the network where the call is made from
- dial-up roaming access by using the long number +4 0744 945 450: the specific charges of the network where the call is made from
- messages for viewing/ changing the configuration of the e-mail account: at no charge
- messages for the (management) administration of the e-mail account: at no charge
- notifications about the arrival of an e-mail message:at no charge
- notifications received as answers to commands: at no charge
Going from Standard to Professional is subject to a 1,5 EUR monthly fee, while from Entry to Professional the user is requested to pay an additionally 3 EUR, monthly fee.
For the Entry option, the activation of the Mail Manager and Organizer components is subject to 0,5 EUR monthly subscription.

- Data GSM offers: Fax&Data and Mobile Internet Dial-up, at the tariffs corresponding to these offers
