Call Conference

Do you want to have a meeting with several friends or collaborators? There is no need to call each of them separately. Through the Call Conference service, you can communicate simultaneously with as many as 5 different interlocutors, connected to mobile or fixed telephone networks.

how does it work

A conference is initiated when, during a phone call, you want to communicate with a third participant, who is either calling you, or is already on hold (your Call waiting service must be activated).
In this case, if your Call hold service is also activated, you can temporarily stop the call in progress (without closing the communication channel), in order to take the second call.
This way you can start a conference, by joining the calls and allowing both interlocutors to communicate at the same time.

If necessary, you can also put the actual conference on hold, in order to take another call or you can even start a new call, which will join the conference in progress. You can repeat this procedure until the conference has reached the maximum number of 6 participants.

The number of participants can be increased if one of the participants, who is an Orange subscriber, has the Call Conference service activated and starts a new conference, joining yours.

The Conference call gives you the possibility to:

  • communicate simultaneously with maximum 5 different participants
  • allow a new call to join the conference, signalled through Call waiting or an already Call hold
  • separate one of the interlocutors for a private telephone call, while the participants in the conference stay connected
  • remove certain participants from the conference
  • end the conference by disconnecting the other participants

Generally, all mobile phones are compatible with this service. If you have a mobile phone model for more than two years or one that Orange Romania does not sell, please check its compatibility with the above-mentioned services.

tariffs

Initiating a conference does not cost you. Each call to an interlocutor included in the conference is charged as a regular voice call (it is consumed starting with the minutes included in the subscription).

If the service is used while in roaming by an Orange subscriber, as the initiator of the conference, the service availability depends on the visited network and the charging may differ from one network to another.

Thus, while in roaming, Orange Romania recommends using the Call Conference service only as a participant, in which case the charge is that of a Roaming call.

availability

Call Conference is available to all Orange subscribers. PrePay users cannot initiate conferences. However, any PrePay user can take part in a conference, as guest.

To set up the Conference Call service, call Customer Service on 411 or Selfcare at *100#, then choose Services.
